Going Quackers for Kids Derby Duck Race 

On April 19, 2014, a total of 5,000 ducks head to their First West Coast Race in La Mirada, CA for the Going Quackers for Kids Derby Duck Race. The race takes place at Splash Aquatic Center following the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at approximately 11:00 a.m. Cash prizes, community involvement and fun will all take place at this annual event. The race is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of La Mirada and proceeds go to a variety of nonprofit organizations. These nonprofit organizations participate as ‘Duck Adoption Agents” to help raise funds for their organizations. Don’t miss out and Adopt-a-Duck today!

One lucky duck will win the grand prize of $2,500 cash.  The first place prize winner goes home with $1,000 cash. The second and third place winners go home with $250 cash and the 4th – 8th place winners get $100 cash.  Before the race, there is an Easter Egg Hunt and Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at La Mirada Regional Park.  The Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast start at 9:00 a.m.  The duck races start at 11:00 am. at the the Splash Aquatic Center.

Each of the sponsors will have at least one Derby Duck in a special sponsor race and get a chance to win a great prize.
