Delaware Humane Association’s Rubber Duck Race

Kicking off the weekend is the Delaware Humane Association’s Rubber Duck Race on September 4, 2014. In their first year 6,500 will race at the Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington, DE. The duck race is from 5:30 – 6:15pm ET and the fun continues at the Firestone Roasting House post-event party   from 6:30 – 9:30 pm.  The post-event party features food, drinks, music and fun. The top six lucky ducks win prizes including classes at Crossfit Riverfront, accommodations at the Westin Hotel, $250 cash, $1,000 cash, and the grand prize of $2,500. Proceeds benefit the Delaware Humane Association, a no kill animal shelter and adoption center serving a four state area. Adopt a duck and help a pet. The Humane Society’s 2014 Doggie Duck Dash

The Humane Society’s 2014 Doggie Duck Dash returns on Saturday, September 6, 2014. From 12-4pm ET duck fans will enjoy prizes, vendors, games, music, and best of all animals! At 3pm shelter dogs fetch three lucky ducks out of 15,000 from the duck pond in downtown Binghamton, NY. Those ducks win a cash prize of $700, $1,300, or $5,000! Proceeds help The Humane Society who is dedicated to the animal cruelty prevention and finding permanent loving homes for  animals. Adopt a Duck, adopt a pet, or adopt both today!

Haverhill Rotary Rubber Duck Regatta

Continuing the Duck Race fun on Saturday is the Haverhill Rotary Rubber Duck Regatta in Massachusetts. Combined with the annual Haverhill River Ruckus, events begin at 1pm ET including boat and kayak rides, a car show, children’s activities, live music, food, and fireworks. At 3:30pm ET 10,000 ducks swim to win $10,000! Prizes include a weekend getaway in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, tickets to a Red Sox game, and rounds of golf! All proceeds are donated to over 40 organizations in the Haverhill community. Organizations include the Boys and Girls Club, Council on Aging, the Haverhill Historical Society, Haverhill Public Library, and the Salvation Army. Don’t miss your chance to Adopt a Duck!

18th Annual Sertoma Great Topeka Duck Race

The 18th Annual Sertoma Great Topeka Duck Race makes a splash on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Lake Shawnee in Kansas. Activities begin at 12pm CT and include hourly door prizes, children’s midway games,  a petting zoo, face painting, clowns, food and entertainment. At 4pm 12,000 Ducks  race to win one of ten great prizes including jewelry, shopping sprees, gift cards, and football tickets. The winning lucky duck will take home a 1993 Ford Mustang convertible! The festivities end around 5pm, just in time for the Great Plains Huff & Puff Hot Air Balloon Rally. Proceeds benefit Sertoma (SERvice TO Mankind), a 100-year-old nonprofit whose national sponsorship helps people with hearing health issues and other organizations in the community!

Galesburg Public Schools Foundation 19th Annual Duck Race

Concluding this weekend is Galesburg Public Schools Foundation 19th Annual Duck Race in Illinois on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Fans will gather at Lake Storey for the cardboard boat regatta and then cheer on the winning ducks. At 2pm CT 25 out of 10,000 Ducks are plucked to win prizes including $1,000 cash, an iPad, a Honda lawnmower, membership to the YMCA, and gift certificates to local businesses. The owner of the  1st place duck takes home $2,000 cash! Proceeds benefit Galesburg Public Schools Foundation, a chartered nonprofit raising funds to enhance the educational opportunities of Illinois District 205 and strengthening the relationship between the public schools and community. The revenue generated from this ducktastic event allows the Foundation to award monetary grants to each school in District 205. Adopt a Duck and help a child.
