Ford River Walk Lucky Duck Race & Concert
The first race this weekend is on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in San Antonio, TX. The Ford River Walk Lucky Duck Race & Concert will take place at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on the infamous San Antonio River Walk beginning at 11am CDT and will feature an afternoon of food, ducks, and a free concert by Mitch Webb & The Swindles. Duck Adoptions will be available until 12:30pm when 10,000 Derby Ducks will dip into the San Antonio River to win the grand prize of a 2-year lease on a Ford Fiesta (tax, title, and license included)! Every single duck adopted will help fight hunger and support the San Antonio Food Bank. The Food Bank serves 58,000 individuals every week in 16 counties in Southwest Texas. Palm Beach Duck Dash
Our second race of the weekend is racing for the first time in Palm Beach, FL. The inaugural Palm Beach Duck Dash will makes its debut on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Rapids Water Park. At approximately 5:30pm PDT 5,000 Derby Ducks will dive into the lazy river hoping to be one of four to cross the finish line first to win a prize: 1st – $1,500, 2nd – 4 one-way Southwest Airline Tickets, 3rd – 4 passes to Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure , and 4th Rapids Water Park Cabana Day!
The best part is all the proceeds will directly benefit the athletes at Special Olympics Florida – Palm Beach County. Each Duck Adoption will help provide year-round sports training and athletic competition to over 1,200 children and adults 8 years and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities at no cost to them. Second Harvest Food Bank Rubber Duck Derby
Our duck race weekend wraps up in New Orleans, LA with another race to fight hunger. The Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana presents the 7th annual Rubber Duck Derby on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 4pm CDT. 25,000 Derby Ducks will launch into Big Lake in City Park to fight hunger. The first 10 ducks across the finish line will win a quacky prize for their adoptive owner. This year’s prizes include a season pass to Carousel Gardens at City Park, a Dinner Cruise on Steamboat Natchez, Free Cane’s Chicken for a year and more! The first duck across the finish line will win $5,000 cash!
