Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby
Giant Quacky debuts this weekend and is flying to the Northwest to support the 25th Annual Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby in Port Angeles, Washington. Standing 65 feet tall and weighing 1,100 pounds, Giant Quacky is all over Port Angeles to support Duck Adoptions. The Duck Derby that will take place on Sunday, June 1 at 2:30 pm.
Hosted by the Sequim Rotary Club, 30,000 Derby Ducks race this weekend. Duck Adoption proceeds benefit the Olympic Medical Center Foundation. Over the last eight years, the OMC Foundation has provided $2.3 million to or on behalf of the hospital. This is one of the reasons why Port Angeles was chosen for Giant Quacky’s 2014 debut.
During the Duck Derby, adopters have the chance to win one of 42 prizes with the grand prize of either a 2014 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck or a Toyota Corolla.
