6th Annual Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race
The 6th Annual Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race is this Saturday, July 19th benefiting Cedar Rapids Daybreak Rotary. Starting at 2pm CT, 15,000 Derby Ducks race at Noelridge Park for a chance to win the $10,000 grand prize. Other prizes include a Sports Fan Getaway, unlimited car washes for a year, a Night on the Town package, a 32” flat screen TV, and a shopping spree.
Each year, Cedar Rapids Daybreak Rotary produces the Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race. The duck race is a community-wide, family-friendly fun event benefiting eastern Iowa organizations that focus on helping children and families. As a result, over the last six years, Cedar Rapids Daybreak Rotary has helped raise more than $330,000 for local youth organizations. This year’s Duck Race proceeds will benefit Youth Port at Polk Education Center, Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids, Tanager Place, Young Parents Network, Jon Cushing Sunshine Fund, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Kids First Law Center.
