We have had a strong start to our Derby Duck Race season which makes it the most wonderful time of year! We have four more Derby Duck Races this weekend!  Don’t miss out! Six nonprofit organizations and service clubs have already raced their way to raise tremendous funds for their organizations and causes.

 Merryman House Paducky Derby

Who: The Merryman House Domestic Crisis Shelter

The Merryman House offers both residency and outreach services to meet the needs of victims of intimate partner abuse and their dependents as they strive to live free of violence in their home. The Merryman House has become a comprehensive advocacy and support center that is devoted to addressing the comprehensive needs of survivors.

Where: Paducah, KY at Noble Park Pond

When: Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 3pm EDT

Highlights: The Paducky Derby made an outstanding debut in 2015 and sold out of all 5,000 Derby Ducks! This year the Derby Ducks back and more ready than ever to race on a larger scale! 10,000 Derby Ducks will be dropped into Noble Park Pond and will swim their way to win some Quacktastic cash prizes! The event is free and open to the public!

Prizes: More ducks this year for some cash! The top three ducks will be awarded $500, $1,000, or $2,500!

Ducks for Bucks Benefit Race

Who: Kiwanis Club of Fremont

The Kiwanis Club of Fremont partners with multiple nonprofits within the community to Adopt 8,000 Derby Ducks for their causes. Nonprofit selling organizations include schools, various youth organizations and clubs, churches, and adult & family service groups.

Where: Fremont, CA at Elizabeth Lake

When: Saturday, April 23, 3016 at 11am PDT

Highlights: This quacky race returns to Fremont for its 22nd year! These veteran ducks are not shy when it comes to racing for multiple ducktastic causes! This race truly brings the community together by allowing any nonprofit to participate and earn money for their organizations!  Family activities will begin at 11am and the ducks will race at 1pm.

Prizes: 10 prizes will be awarded to the owners of the quickest ducks with an additional 2 grand prizes! Prizes include a lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train, Disneyland Hopper Passes, a wellness package and more. A Grand Prize of $2,000 cash will be handed out and a Great Grand Prize of a car of the winner’s choice (up to $30,000) will be awarded! You don’t want to miss out on these prizes!

The 4th Annual Great Duck Derby

Who: Treasure Coast Community Health

Treasure Coast Community Health serves over 16,000 adults and children per year, an overwhelming percentage of whom are at or below Federal Poverty Level. Many of these individuals do not qualify for insurance and rely on Treasure Coast Community Health to provide needed medical and dental services at low and/or reduced costs.

Where: Sebastian, FL at Capt Hiram’s Restaurant and SandBar

When: Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 12pm – 4pm EDT

Highlights: Have you seen Quackers around town? Quackers has been one busy duck promoting this weekend’s race throughout the community. If you see Quackers, make sure to say hi and take a photo and post on their Facebook page! Quackers will also be at Capt Hiram’s dancing and having a good time with all the ducky fans. At approximately 3pm, join Quackers at the Indian River Lagoon and cheer on 5,000 Derby Ducks!

Prizes: These quacky ducks are racing for one of three ducktabulous cash prizes: $250, $500, or $1,000.

Fayetteville Duck Derby

Who: Fayetteville Urban Ministry

Fayetteville Urban Ministry focuses on transforming lives through FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, and SECURITY through four programs: Find-A-Friend Youth Program, Adult Literacy Program, Emergency Assistance Program, and the Nehemiah Project.

Where: Fayetteville, NC at Festival Park

When: Sunday, April 24,2016 during the Dogwood Festival

Highlights: The Fayetteville Duck Derby kicked off their duck season with the 1st annual Duck Walk Waddle Run 5k back in February. They have strongly carried the momentum of adopting ducks these last few weeks and have never been more ready to race. Once again partnering with the Dogwood Festival, 5,000 Derby Ducks will take the plunge to win one of six ducktacular prizes!

Prizes: This year’s prizes include a NTK Panda 4 Nautika tent, a membership at the Spa Fitness & Wellness Center, a $250 Grocer Gift Card, a set of tires, a 60” TV, and a $2016 Deluxe Coleman 25 ft Camper! If the first place winner is present at the race, they will win an additional $300 cash!
