We have 15,000 Derby Ducks racing this weekend for three very different, yet amazing organizations this Saturday, June 11, 2016. Check them out and Adopt a Duck today to support some great causes! And remember, you don’t have to be present to win!

15,000 Derby Ducks racing this weekend - Manhattan, KS  

Little Apple Duck Dash

The first race of the day is all about the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan in Manhattan, KS. The second annual Little Apple Duck Dash begins at 10am CDT at CiCo Park Sledding Hill.  In addition, the event will have activities, food, and refreshments for the entire family to enjoy. 5,000 Derby Ducks will race down the sledding hill for one of the three top positions to win a prize. This year’s prizes include a Hy-Vee Super Shopper package and a $500 shopping spree at Manhattan Town Center.  The grand prize is 4 tickets to watch the 2016 Kansas State vs Missouri State football game! All proceeds benefit the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan which operates 9 locations and helps 2,600 children annually! Adopt a Duck and Inspire a Future now!

St. Tammany Humane Society Duck Derby and Festival

The second race of the day also returns for their second year. The St. Tammany Humane Society Duck Derby and Festival will once again be held at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington, LA. From 12pm – 6pm CDT  fans and pets can enjoy a day of live music, food, drinks, children’s activities, pet adoptions, and more! At approximately 2pm 5,000 Derby Ducks will take a refreshing dive and race to the finish line to win the $1,000 cash prize. All proceeds will benefit the homeless pets at the St. Tammany Humane Society. In fact, The St. Tammany Humane Society is one of Louisiana’s largest nonprofit, no-kill animal welfare organizations. St. Tammany serves the unwanted, neglected , abandoned and abused animals of the Gulf Coast Region. Each duck adoption will help a homeless pet in need so adopt away!

TASCA Rubber Duck Regatta

Finally, the last race of the day supports senior citizens in Tyler, TX. The 2nd Annual TASCA Rubber Duck Regatta will begin at 3pm CDT at Juls Restaurant. The ducky event will feature family activities, food, and entertainment for all to enjoy. 5,000 ducks will race in the lake outside the restaurant for a shot at the grand prize of a $2,500 Visa gift card.  Proceeds will go to the Tyler Area Senior Citizen Association (TASCA) whose mission is to meet the needs of East Texas’ growing senior citizen population with programs that promote healthy aging. In addition, TASCA helps seniors adapt to spousal loss and other lifestyle changes, provide recreational activities and events, ensure continuing education opportunities and support community endeavors.
